Using lessons from the video "The Nature of Order in Game Narrative"

  • "All lyrical work must, as a whole, be perfectly intelligible, but in some particulars, a little unintelligible" - The cohesive whole of this game is aimed towards more of a thrill, a chase. Some aspects, however, are silly - most notably the note left in the final room explored.
  • The void - red text, that stands out starkly against the walls of some rooms. Messages left for the player to see, to find, despite standing out in their perfection. But it still works!
  • The build is not symmetrical in it's whole, but there are little symmetries present in the build itself: the rooms are  set up in a way that has a symmetrical quality to them, to lend to the "lived-in" sort of place this is.
  • Emergent complexity in the way that the game changes after the final black key is picked up - how different the world seems when placed on a timer.
